Created by Intechnica
We developed TrafficDefender, the leading product for digital traffic management and site availability. From eCommerce websites and high volume ordering systems to online ticketing and mobile CRM applications, we excel at the creation of high performance, scalable online systems.
We help businesses with:
Recognising the need to manage automated traffic and the devastation caused by criminal bots we developed TrafficDefender.
This genius software was designed to help businesses manage peak and fluctuating traffic and remove unwanted website visits from bots, crawlers and spiders. A step up from standard traffic analysis software, TrafficDefender improves web application security, speed and saves companies millions of pounds.
We needed a development partner that could quickly architect and deploy new technologies and system enhancements. Intechnica offered all the capabilities we were looking for – everything from design to performance testing, monitoring and engineering services.
Intechnica helped us transform our Spar Retail Show to a digital experience – a huge step forward for our business. They put the customer first throughout the project and ensured that we were supported as a business over the entire process, proving they care about our values and the quality of their work.
During a prime-time X Factor finals advertising slot, we experienced a peak in website traffic 27 times bigger than Cyber Monday. Several hundred of our customers were buffered for about 90 seconds by TrafficDefender Virtual Waiting Room. Instead of getting no response or a very slow response, they had a controlled response that indicated when they would be able to get into the website.
TrafficDefender Virtual Waiting Room gave us a very elegant solution to the challenge of dealing with demand peaks and unexpected events. As a result, we have been able to decommission resources and reduce our infrastructure by 20%.
It made absolute sense to us to deploy TrafficDefender to ensure that we could continue to serve more customers simultaneously than we ever had, even if the event turned out to be much bigger than we expected.
TrafficDefender was great value for Scribbler, as any downtime during a busy sale could cost the business thousands in revenue. The Virtual Waiting Room made sure that didn’t happen and Father’s Day was a huge success for Scribbler.
How many multi-million pound tech companies are started because people want to listen to music in a muddy field with their wellies on? We think we’re the only one.
Intechnica was founded in 2006 by Jeremy Gidlow and Andy Still. Following the implementation and optimisation of the system that successfully sold the tickets for Glastonbury 2005, they sought to meet the modern world’s demands for scalable technology.
They realised that for many businesses, technology ability and performance meant the difference between success and failure.
There are now more than 80 Intechnica employees and this number is expected to double in 2018.
With offices in the heart of Manchester, Intechnica is one of GP Bullhound’s fasted growing tech companies in the North and benefits from having staff from across the world. Find out how Intechnica can help you.
